Virginia Seher Obituary

Virginia Faye (Fink) Seher

Virginia peacefully passed away December 2, 2025, in Kamloops, B.C., at the age of 93. She was born in Weatherford, Oklahoma to Daniel and Olga (Schmidt) Fink. She was raised partially in Oklahoma and in Kansas until her whole family moved to California. She graduated from Reedley High School and later worked as a telephone operator where she met the love of her life, Fred R Seher. They got married on September 15, 1951. Later they had three children, Fred D., Roger, and Lark. The family lived in and around Reedley, California and in 1964 immigrated to B.C. looking for new adventures. They had farming ventures in 100 Mile House, McLeese Lake, Armstrong and Ashcroft over the years.

Virginia worked alongside her (lover, as she always called him) Fred. They were married for 74 years. Virginia was involved in many community projects. Whether it was 4H, starting up a baseball team in Mcleese Lake, or volunteering at fundraisers, she did it all while sharing that knowledge with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends along the way. Socially, she really enjoyed working at Safety Mart in Ashcroft where she got to see many friends. Later, she enjoyed cataloguing and recording the more than 500 hundred paintings her husband had painted and she donated some all across the world.

Virginia is predeceased by her parents, (Father) Daniel and (Mother) Olga. All her siblings but one, (sister) Lois Hansen of Fresno, California, her eldest son Fred D., and of course (her lover) husband, Frederick R Seher.

Remembered lovingly by her son Roger (Sandra) Seher, daughter Lark (Rejean) Beaudoin.
Six grandchildren: Dick (Nadine) Beaudoin, Deidre (Michael) Lidgate, Cody (Belinda) Seher, Sonja Seher, Rodd Seher (Marie Claude Sylvestre), Christina Seher (Jean Gerard Borel).
Her eight great grandchildren: Matthew (Kanisha) Gresmak, Tanner Gresmak (Kelsey Rollings) Chandler Gresmak (Evan Rhodes), Georgia Beaudoin, Nolan Beaudoin, Phillip and Lionel Seher, Johanna Seher-Borel. Three great, great grandchildren: Rocko, Rowdy and Rhiatt Gresmak.

You have left us all with many memories, great knowledge, understanding, kindness, and passion; for which we shall carry with us forever and pass down to the next generation. We will miss your smile and warm hugs. Rest peacefully forever Mom.

We would like to thank Kamloops Senior Village and staff for the care they gave to both parents, as well as the Thompson Valley Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held in 2026.
