Cameron — “June” Verna (née Madsen) passed away, surrounded by family on Oct. 2, 2021.

June is survived by her sons, Gary and Kevin; loving siblings Alf, Karen and Phillip; numerous nieces and nephews; all their respective families; and five grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Stuart.

June was born in Bralorne on June 21, 1949, a day after her mom’s birthday. She moved to Vancouver in her early 20’s until her husband’s death in 2020. After staying with her son in Whitehorse for a short while she finally moved ‘home’ to Lillooet in the Bridge River Valley.

June will be greatly missed by both friends and family. She was kind-hearted and always put the concerns of others before her own. She had a remarkable way of finding the positive in even the most difficult situations.
