Larry Glen Fines, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, crossed over on November 13, 2025, at the age of 78. Surrounded by the gentle presence of family and his two cherished Shih Tzus, Doogie & Jax where his heart found peace. He often said he never imagined loving these little companions so deeply.
Doogie lay quietly beside him as he ended his journey and crossed into his next journey.
Born in Prince Albert, Sask, on February 2, 1947 where he went
From the quiet streets of Shell Lake Sask to the small town of Midway, BC, where his family settled when he was six, Larry’s spirit was as vast as the open road he loved. Known for his zest for life, his fast cars, and the miles traveled with a cold beer in hand, he embraced every journey with passion.
Our holidays were epic drives spanning thousands of miles, each mile a story, each road a memory.
Some people work to live. Larry lived to work…not out of necessity, but because he found joy, pride, and a deep sense of self in what he did everyday. Weekends found him in the kitchen having a "Hoot" crafting his world-famous chili, beef stroganoff, or a comforting bowl of Russian borscht. Around the table, laughter a few beer, hoots and crib games wove the fabric of family joy.
