Obituary
We mournfully announce the passing of James Robert Reid, 47, of Ashcroft, BC. James passed away on January 6, 2022, after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
James, born to parents David and Michelle Reid, burst onto the scene on October 5, 1974, and quickly went about making his mark on the world. James is survived by his brothers Thomas (and wife Nicole), Robert, and Michael Reid, and beloved nieces Madelynn and Sophia Reid.
James’ passion and encyclopedic knowledge for the outdoors was infectious, and his love and care for the environment was inspirational. His laughter was genuine and frequent, and his stories of his adventures (and misadventures!) were unparalleled. He lived his life on his own terms, unwavering in his convictions. There was never a sunset he didn’t chase, or a stream he didn’t swim in. James left a lasting impression on those who knew him, and his energy and presence will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to an environmental charity of your choice in James’ memory.
