Obituary

Blair, Gary Frederick

December 7, 1942 ~ January 21, 2022

Gary was born to Fred and Grace in Great Village, Nova Scotia. He is survived by his wife Dayle, son Glyn-Gary, daughter Margaret (Kris) and grandchildren Tanner (Natalie), and “TJ” Terrence James.

Gary worked at Highland Valley Copper until 2007 when he decided to go to Yellowknife, Northwest Territories to work. He stayed with his daughter and then his son for eighteen months. He never stopped talking about Yellowknife.

He and his wife lived at Boston Flats until the fire in 2017 burnt them out.

He loved to sit on his bench with his dog Rocco and wave at all who drove by. He loved it when they honked their horn.

Gary moved to Jackson House Residential Care in 2018 and loved it. He called it home and thought the staff was family.

To the workers at Jackson House, you all were the best and we appreciate all the love you showed Gary.

We will miss you forever Gary, but that cheeky little smile will never be forgotten.
