Ellen Coggins (née Craggs), aged 67, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026, in
Kamloops, British Columbia. Born on March 20, 1959, in Ashcroft, British Columbia,
Ellen lived a life full of love, laughter, and adventure.
Ellen was the wife of Ron Coggins and a devoted mother to her twin sons, Dwight and
Luke. She cherished her family deeply and found immense joy in being a grandmother
to Mason and Ainsley Coggins. Ellen is also survived by her son Dwight’s wife, Alison,
as well as her brothers Ronnie Craggs and Mike Craggs. She was predeceased by her
parents, Rod and Barney Craggs; her sister Linda; and her son Luke.
Ellen had a zest for life that was evident in everything she did. She loved spending time
outdoors year-round—whether playing in the snow or gliding across the water in her
kayak. Her garden was a source of pride and tranquility for her, where she nurtured
plants with the same care she gave to those around her. Ellen also adored her cats and
found joy in their companionship.
A creative spirit at heart, Ellen was skilled with a sewing machine and enjoyed crafting
projects that reflected her resourcefulness and talent. She had an adventurous soul and
delighted in traveling to visit family or explore new places. Her sense of humor was
infectious, and she brought laughter wherever she went. Known for being caring and
helpful, Ellen touched the lives of many as a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin,
friend, neighbor, and co-worker.
Ellen’s memory will be forever cherished by those who knew her. Her laugh, wicked
sense of humor, adventurous spirit, and unwavering dedication to her family will remain
an inspiration to all whose lives she enriched.
May Ellen’s legacy bring comfort to those who loved her as they remember the joy she
brought into their lives.
