David Danial Meservia

David Danial Meservia passed away April 23rd, 2022, at the age of 81 

David was born on June 8, 1940 to Ernest and Christina Margarette Meservia of Kakabeca Falls, Ontario 

After completing grade 10, David joined and was part of the Royal Canadian Navy until 1964. Once out of the Navy, he began construction of homes with Peter Penner, eventually working in this partnership for over fifty years. 

In January of 1963, while enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy, David met and on April 13, 1963, married his wife, Carol. A loved little boy, Brentley, joined this family in April 1966 and in March of 1968 became a big brother when their home was blessed with the arrival of Laura-Lea. Some years later in 1975 two young boys, Paul and David, added smiles and joy to the family of four, growing their family to six. Through the following years, while David tirelessly supported his family, there were spouses, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who came to know and experience the ever-faithfulness of this man whose life shared the love of Jesus and demonstrated constant devotion to his God and the family he loved. 

Following is a list of words some of David's family and friends used to describe him: steady, positive, dependable, listener, unconditional, loyal, kind, faithful, steadfastly good, 

For the past several years of his life he struggled with the affects of congestive heart failure. Many times we thought we were losing him, but always his desire for and love of living kept him fighting his way back to us. 

David has many family and friends who will greatly miss him. Among these are: his wife, Carol Meservia, son Brent Meservia (Amy), daughter Laura-Lea Price (Eric), son Paul Meservia, son David Meservia, ten grandchildren with their spouses; Christyn (Helen), Sheldon (Madison), Shaylea (Brayle) Shanna (Jared), Austin, Sarina, Sullivan (Megan), Josie-Rae (Corey), Wyatt, and Summer; three great grandchildren; Quinten, Warden and Elsie, his brothers Terry Meservia and Muggs Meservia, sisters Dolly and Diane, their spouses and numerous nieces and nephews. 

David was predeceased by his mother and father; Ernest and Christina Margarette Meservia, and his brothers; Patrick, Henry, Richard, Angus, Treff, John and Jim Meservia. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Fountainview Academy 7615 Lytton/Lillooet Highway, Lillooet, BC.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to;  Donate - ADRA Canada where donations can be made in dads honor as Mission trips and volunteering was how dad loved to give back.
