John Anthony Henstock

Today we said goodbye to John Anthony Henstock 

Born December 9, 1938 in Kamloops .

He went peacefully on April 8, 2024 at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops. 

He was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Florence Henstock, brother Donald Henstock and sister Joan McKay.  He is survived by his sister Carla (Bob) Schedel, and Sister-laws, Erna Henstock, Inga Daoust, Freda Lowery, and Patty Thiele.

Left behind to forever miss him,

His loving wife Diana of 62 years, daughters, Tina (Mike), Barb(Chuck), PJ (Greg), grandchildren, Michelle (Mike), Dylan (Megan), Kyle (Danielle), Cassie (Nate), Travis (Kailey), Tony (Amanda), Tiffany, Zack(Janelle), Zoey(Miles).

Great grand-children Ben, Mairi, JD, Kane, Remi, Emma, Grace, Jackson, Daniel, Marlee, Blake, Easton, and Colt. Dad was known as Uncle Johnny to his nieces and nephews.

Many had the privilege of knowing John. 

As a husband he was very devoted and loving, as a Dad he loved his girls and his Son-in-laws.  His grandkids loved hearing Grandpa tell stories and were amazed at how clean he kept his vehicles. The Great-grand kids loved their Great Grandpa with all their hearts. He could always get a giggle out of them.  

Dad and Mom shared their faith together. He and Mom cherished their Church family at St. Albans in Ashcroft. His faith gave him comfort as he came to his time.  Thank you Rev. Linda and Rev. Angus for their visit and prayers. 

Thank you to all Nurses and Dr’s at RIH who looked after Dad while he was in hospital. 

To Catherine, thank you for the snacks and being there. 

Thank you to all who came to see Dad, and for all the prayers. 

There will a Memorial service at St. Albans in Ashcroft, Saturday, April 27 at 1:00 pm.
